Communication You are expressive, clear and concise and have the ability to quickly form relationships with others in a variety of situations.
Achievement of goals You show the persistence and energy required to meet or exceed your objectives and well-defined goals and respond well to pressure.
Commercial awareness You have an interest in business and the knowledge of what a career in a professional services firm involves, particularly in your chosen field.
Adaptability You are positive in the face of change and resourceful in responding to major changes.
Problem solving You can analyse, distil and solve practical problems, generate new ideas and make sound judgements in complex situations. You have been successful at motivating others towards a particular course of action.
Organisational skills You take responsibility for the completion of tasks and ensure that detail is not overlooked when involved in a project. You will also have good time management skills and will be able to prioritise tasks effectively.

The interview was very detailed. They expected two examples for each competency and you were probed by about 5 questions on each example you gave. For example, How did you carry that task out? How did you feel? What did you learn from this example? Would you change your methods of carrying out this action? etc. It was a very detailed interview and to be honest difficult.

They ask the usual questions:

Why Deloitte? and why Deloitte in particular compared to other firms?
What differentiates Deloitte from its competitors? – This answer needs to be good, because they know if you have done your research.
What do you expect to be doing as a graduate at Deloitte?
Why this particular field and why did you choose your degree?
What do you know about the industry that you will be working in and can you tell me about a recent article or journal that you have read to support your findings?
Working to a qualification is demanding. Can you tell me what exams you will be taking and how you intend on managing a full time position and passing exams?
