Graduate Job Programme
2011 Applications Opening Date:
The MOD, unlike many other government departments, has executive responsibility and so actually provides defence, not just the policy on it.
The premiere development scheme for graduates is the Fast Stream, although many graduates also enter through applying for specific vacancies. The MOD also recruits engineering and science graduates into the Defence Engineering and Science Group (DESG) via various schemes.
There is a Defence Engineering & Science Group (DESG) Scheme, currently recruiting, (in tranches) and a Commercial Function Business Graduate Scheme.
It is anticipated that the Commercial recruitment campaign for 2011 will take place in the late spring. Please check this page for further details: Link to Commercial Careers Web site
In addition there are opportunities for civilian medical careers.
