Competencies and Other Requirements

The types of behaviours (competencies) we look for in all Siemens Graduates and Undergraduates are:

Customer Focus – passionate about meeting customer needs;
Analytical Thinking – able to understand and figure out meaning from numbers, words & images;
Team Working – enjoy working collaboratively towards team goals;
Verbal & Written Communication Skills – able to get your point across clearly & persuasively face to face, on the phone and in email;
Initative – you don’t just rest on your laurels, you think about the appropriate action & do it;
Commercial Awareness – you understand that we are here to make a profit & you understand what can affect profit;
Drive and Motivation – whatever it is that you want to do, you want to be a success and have the ambition and energy to make it happen.
In lots of our roles we are also looking for ‘technical’ competences, such as how a turbine works, or ‘functional’ competencies, e.g. what a management accountant is there to do.
