Laurie Adams has 25 years of experience as a lawyer in the banking and financial services sector. Most recently, he headed ABN AMRO’s investment banking legal and compliance functions for four years, where he had responsibility for 300 staff across 37 countries. He was awarded Global Internal Counsel of the Year by Legal Business in 2003.
Prior to that, he established the European general counsel role for Citigroup, leading the combined Citibank, Salomon Smith Barney and Schroders legal department, where he worked for 10 years. For the five previous years, he established the Lehman Brothers International European legal and compliance functions.
He originally trained and practised with Allen & Overy. Laurie is a qualified CEDR mediator and, in November 2007, became a non-executive director of Northern Rock Bank.

Penny Marshall is an award winning TV and Radio journalist and a Visiting Professor at City University where she teaches the post graduate broadcast students.
She has extensive experience coaching her students for interviews and preparing them for work placements in the country’s leading newsrooms. City has an outstanding record for the number of students who move into full time employment after the course.
She has won a BAFTA and an RTS for her news, and is a regular presenter on Radio 4 and a Special Correspondent for News at Ten.
She is a mother of three teenagers.
Mandy Pooler: After reading English at Jesus College Oxford, Mandy had a rush of numbers to the head during two years spent in the marketing department of the International Thomson Organisation. In 1982 she joined Ogilvy & Mather as a media planner, becoming Media Director in 1991 and Managing Director of O&M Media in 1994. Mandy was a founder of The Network, which launched Ogilvy’s 26 media operations into a single European media organisation.
In 1998 she became the first CEO of MindShare UK and after three turbulent but rewarding years changed direction to launch another new venture. The Channel is a knowledge centre around media and communications and a focus for collaboration for the WPP Group and its clients. In July 2006 she became a Director for development at Kantar, the holding group for the research and consultancy businesses owned by WPP.
She is Chairman of AGB Nielsen in the UK, a fellow of the IPA, a former Advertising Woman of the Year and the proud mother of eighteen year old twins.
