The Top 100 – Who?
What do we mean by the “Top 100 Graduate Employers”?
We are often asked what we mean by the Top 100 graduate employers. Are we talking about the FTSE 100? No we are not. We mean The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers, which we believe is the best annual ranking of those organisations in the private and public sectors that new graduates most want to work for.
It is the definitive record of Britain’s most prestigious and sought-after graduate recruiters. The 2009 league table is based on interviews conducted by High Fliers Research with 16,357 final-year university students, who were asked the open-ended question, “Which employer do you think offers the best opportunities for graduates?” More than 600 different employers were named and the 100 organisations with the most votes form the Top 100 chart.
Many of The Times Top 100 graduate employers also appear in the FT Global 500, the annual snapshot of the world’s largest companies, ranked by market capitalisation. These companies are at the pinnacle of their respective industries; they are the global leaders of their time and you should research them. Companies like BMW; Cisco; Vodaphone; Anglo American; Nestle etc.
We believe that employers who appear in both publications are ones whose inclusion on your CV will ‘gold-plate’ your career. That is why getting a place on their graduate training schemes is worth the effort. These are life changing employers.
Or, if you are looking for details of one particular employer, you can enter the company name in the search box at top right.
